HawaMahal is a kind of palace which is real glory of Jaipur city of India. In 1799, it was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

It is Rajput architecture completed in 1799 made-up of red and pink sand stone, the design and construction created by lalchand ustad. The stone eared screens small casements and arched roofs are the main eye appeal attraction for the tourists. The Hawa Mahal is counted amongst the most gorgeous and captivating piece of work by the Rajput rulers

HawaMahal is actually in the form of the crown of Krishna god. The building is meant for cool air from the venture effect through the intricate pattern, air conditioning the whole area during the high temperature in summers.

Its five story exterior and there are 953 small windows (JHAROKHAS). This is Historical place in Jaipur. It is also known as “PLACE OF WINDS” and “PLACE OF BREEZE”. It has 953 small windows (“JHAROKAS”) that are decorated with intricate lattice work. The Lattice provides cool air caused by the venture effect (DOCTOR BREEZE) through the intricate pattern. This Property (HAWA-MAHEL) was constructed so that women of royal families take a view of everyday life through the JHAROKAS as they never appeared in public.

The royal ladies were used to sit in JHAROKHAS and observe daily life of the street without being seen. In old tradition Rajput’s lady not allowed to come in front of males.

It is the first building of world in which royal ladies can easily vies what’s going on, on the street.

Actually what happened in 1787 royal ladies were complained to maharaja that they were also having rights to see festivals and environment of streets so at that time they were unable to watch royal festivals and royal treats which were passing from streets. After that complained Maharaja Sawai Pratap singh decide to make that kind of buildings in which royal ladies can easily watch from JHAROKHAS, festivals and streets without being noticed by anyone.
