Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan has a strong historical background. It was ruled by some of the most powerful emperors in Jaipur history. History of Jaipur has been written differently by every historian. On one hand, the debate on when Jaipur originally started and on other hand, historians and archaeologists debate on the number of historic cities, that comprise Jaipur. Forts, palaces, architectural marvels and tales of valor, all in their own way, bear testimony to the glory that Jaipur is and was just after it was conceived by Sawai Jai Singh ||nd in 1727. Real History of Jaipur

Maharaja SAWAI JAI SINGH the founded of famous city Jaipur was also a well-known, Diplomatic, Politician and astrologer.

In Indian Jaipur History MAHARAJA SAWAI JAI SINGH was the great king of Jaipur city, for pink city (“Gulabi Nagri”) he had just given 45 years from 1699-1744.

In 17 century Raja JAI SINGH was really fond of pink roses and pink color and he decided to give name “GULABI NAGRI” and in when British came it was very difficult for them to pronounce “GULABI NAGRI” so they started to call it by the name of pink city Jaipur but actually the “GULABI NAGRI” was the unique name given by maharaja SAWAI JAI SINGH II and Jaipur city founded by him in 1727. Because maharaja SAWAI JAI SINGH II was founded of Jaipur city, in modern world people started to call it by the name of JAIPUR so you can see Maharaja JAI SINGH’s name in the modern name.

Sawai jai singh made this city vastu friendly; he had been through with lot of vastu books and vastuloger after that he developed a nice cultural and authentic city.

The Raja of Jaipur upheld a nice secularism amongst the different sects of Hinduism. He generally marked the TILAK of RAMANUJ sects, which is like a trident in shape, a bit wide at the bottom and tapering slender towards the head. The central mark is red in color and both the sides are painted white with the while sandal wood paste. While visiting the temple GOVIND DEVJI he would be draw the tilak on the forehead of madhawa sampradaye (sect) . More or less similar to that of Ramanuja but similer in size, while visiting the temple of gokul, chandraji, madan mohanji, gokul nathji, he would paint the tilak of vallabhkal sect which is like U is shape in red color. In visiting the temples of shiva, shaki and ganeshji he would mark six (chhow) tilaks whick is called tripuk or aada running horizontally on the forehead.

Jaipur city is divided by 9 blocks in one of them there are straight buildings and in another there are palaces. Because of security reason palaces and forts are covered by mountains. In Jaipur there are lot of gates which shows another checking system of security such as Chandpole Gate, Jorawar Singh Gate, Suraj Pole, Ganga Pole, Ajmeri Gate, Sanganeri Gate and Galta Gate, and palaces is known as city palaces.

19th century was really good for Jaipur according to the development of city and trade of city. Right now if we are going to visit Jaipur from our perspective be really influenced from history of Jaipur city and today Jaipur is one of the best metro cities of India. So we can’t say in 21st century this is really are not a metro city because today we have handicraft items, sanganeri print, block printing, hospitals [(SMS – Sawai man singh hospital)], colleges, stadium[(SMS – Sawai man singh stadium)], schools [(SMS – maharaja Sawai man singh school)], maharaja college, maharani collge, women colleges, industries, blue pottery, leather work, zari work, jewelry work, and marble etc.
